After last years
entry into the Great Manchester Run, our Business Development
Manager, Matt Cooper has signed up again to take part in this years
event on Sunday 18th May.
Matt is again
running the race to raise money for a good cause, this time in aid
of his local Church, St Paul's Church, Macclesfield. The church has
launched a fund-raising appeal to raise £40,000 towards the repair
of the Spire, which is in need of repair to the stonework and the
structure. St Paul's Church was built in 1844 in
Macclesfield and is the only church in the town with a spire, some
144 feet tall! Maintaining a building of over 160
years old certainly has its challenges!
St Paul's Church, Macclesfield
DaneStorage-online caught up with Matt regarding the ace and why he chose
to run for St Paul's Church.
''As soon as I completed last
years event, I knew I wanted to run it again. The atmosphere was
truly fantastic! I frantically tried for 3 days in mid January
to get my entry in for this year, but the website kept crashing, not
a surprise really with 32,000 people wanting to enter, but in the
end I managed to register and got my place''
''I knew
that St Paul's were getting ready to launch a fundraising appeal for
the repair of the Spire, and I had no hesitation in raising money
for them. St Paul's is my local church and my family and myself have been associated
with the church for many years. I am proud be part of the church
and also pleased to be able to help with their appeal. I am aiming
to raise £1,000 towards the appeal, so any sponsorship is greatly
appreciated!''
Any business or
individual wishing to support Matt with sponsorship or a donation
should contact him on 01260 288361 or by email

Any support received is greatly appreciated by Matt and also by St
Paul's Church. The Church is also holding other fund-raising
events over the course of the next 12 months, keep an eye out in the
local press for details of this, and also for details of how the
fund-raising is going.
Everyone at Dane
Storage wishes Matt the best of luck with his training and of course
for the fundraising and on the race day! We also wish St
Paul's Church the very best of luck with their fund raising efforts.
